Who pays for the Care?

With the majority of our service users funding comes from their local Social Services Department, the Health Authority or a combination of the two. Additional funding can come from your local Supporting People team, as well as from the Independent Living Fund (ILF).

Normally the service user will not be required to contribute towards their support costs. If they receive direct payments from Social Services, then they would need to contribute.

In addition, if the service users are financially well off and no other funding was forthcoming, they would also contribute towards their support costs. However these are issues to discuss prior to the arrival at CSL. At present none of our service users are funded by themselves.
